Coverage Options

Coverage is offered for a critical or fatal injury caused by a covered accident. This insurance pays in addition to most other insurance, including disability and life insurance. No medical underwriting is required.

Low-cost Options:

Basic (Carve-Out) – Employee-only coverage paid by the employer that pays a flat amount or multiple-of-salary benefit.

Voluntary – Employee-paid coverage funded through payroll deduction. Available for employees, their spouses and dependent children. Pays a multiple-of-salary, flat or incremental amount. Spouse and dependent children coverage is a percentage of employee's principal sum benefit. Options include:

  • Employee Only
  • Employee and Spouse Only
  • Employee and Dependent Children
  • Employee, Spouse and Dependent Children
Additional Coverage Option – Stand-Alone Accident

Stand-Alone Accident plan allows for higher benefit levels without evidence of insurability. When a covered accident results in a critical, but not fatal, injury, living benefits can help pay related expenses including:

  • Coma
  • Common Accident
  • Home Alteration
  • Paralysis
  • Rehabilitation
  • Trauma Counseling
  • Vehicle Modification

While accident coverage pays a lump-sum benefit upon death, additional benefits can provide further financial assistance for specific expenses. Benefits can include:

  • Burial and cremation
  • Childcare services
  • COBRA insurance continuation expense
  • Elder survivor
  • Spouse and child education

Covered employees and their families can also access travel assistance services for emergencies that occur while traveling almost anywhere in the world, at least 100 miles from home. Comprehensive service includes medical, financial, legal and communication services and online capabilities.
